St Valentine’s Love
Everyone will be talking about love as it is thrust upon us from every supermarket, restaurant, florist and card shop. Does anyone actually know who or what St Valentine was? I decided to do some research;

Everyone has their own methods of writing a first draft and the great news is there is no wrong way! You can map out your chapters if you have a particular plot in mind or perhaps you are writing a non-fiction and have a list of exactly what you want to explore. Even with non-fiction you still need to let it flow. Perhaps a particular topic or character just won’t stop talking, that’s ok, let it all out!
So when do you come out? I’m not talking about sexuality. I’m talking about in a professional sense. I’m guessing a lot of us stumble along for a good few years without really finding our niche, so when we do find it sometimes it comes as a bit of a surprise. ‘I’m a writer’ I find myself saying in a hushed tone as if I was living in the 14th century and could be burnt at the stake for such witchcraft!
So I have decided to post the second chapter of my first book here, why not the first chapter? I hear you say. Well some of my content is not for little ears and I happen to know that some of my followers are younger than the age range I would pitch my book to. Anyway it’s also a good reason for you to comment below and I will be more than happy to email you the first chapter for free!
Becoming a writer is about finding your voice. You may find many voices which have different tones. Some will be loud and strong, others will be quiet and unsure. Let the strong voice carry you in your work until the weaker has found their power.

Fiction is definitely my love, I am an escape artist of epic proportion. However I am starting to enjoy factual writing and even transcribing. My client recently asked me to record and then transcribe a conversation with his dying brother. I knew this would be hard. I carry with me at all times a big bubble of emotion but that had no place in this situation I had to be in control, professional and then I had to do my job. Continue reading
Its a funny word pumped, it conjures up bulging biceps and ripped torso’s. Ripped is another Aussie slang that I had probably heard in England but would never actually use! I guess….suppose if I was still in England I would use the words Fired up! It’s all coming together. Continue reading
I had my first knock back today from Harper Impulse online publisher. They said my manuscript had an interesting premise but that the story and characters need further development. At this time they will not be taking my manuscript further. They also said I should definitely keep writing. So how do I take this? Continue reading
So Alan Rickman is no longer with us. I have admired this man since I was 12, when I watched him in Truly Madly Deeply. His velvet tongue and huge charisma is what drew me in and kept me at his adoring side.
